Comments:

The image is based on a spaceship that I built out of primitives (mostly stretched spheres), which was originally intended for another project. The water plane beneath the ship uses the attractive 'Foamy Seawater' texture, which interacts excellently with the landing lights beneath the ship.

The surface suggests frozen or partially-frozen water, which made me think of Saturn's moon Titan where, it is believed, liquid water might possibly exist below the frozen surface of the planet's oceans, making it a candidate to have some kind of life. The idea of the frozen ocean called to mind the Gabriel song.

The image was entirely created in Bryce 2.1, using primitives sculpted by Boolean operations.
