Comments:

A reduction of a more ambitious but much less appealing Bryce image, this began when I accidentally created the "Pink Jellied Hive Mind" texture (available in the downloads section). This suggested the idea of a containment vessel full of bubbling pink ick, which evolved through various scenes, most of which have never yet seen the light of day because they take too damn long to render.

At some stage in the process, the 'Navigator' series branched off, and finally culminated in this. The pink goo is gone, replaced by a volumetric texture straight out of the presets library. This is actually a pure Bryce image - it's all primitives and Booleans. I'm not completely satisfied with it, but I got bored of tweaking it in the hopes of getting a better result (and at five hours a time for renders, you can understand why), so here it is.

And I have no idea what it represents. The 'Navigator' title was supposed to refer to some kind of alien space-ship pilot, but I suppose this could just as well be fantasy as science fiction. If you know what it is, you tell me.
