Comments:

This was intended as the backdrop for a demonstration image based around a Poser figure. On reflection, I decided that it actually looked better without the figure and decided to publish it on its own, leaving the Poser person homeless.

The craft and its launch rail are made from Bryce 3D primitives. The launch tube is a hollow cylinder (read Booleaned), and the camera is looking into it through a hole carved with another Boolean. Illumination for the scene comes from a single overhead light which uses a 3D texture to cast appealing shadows.

The bump map for the walls was originally a Photoshop greyscale image, although the play of shadow and texture is such that you could be forgiven for not spotting that immediately.
