Overflight

[2K/36K]

Flyer One to Control: another mountain range. And more sand. External temperature minus twenty degrees. Holiday timeshare possibilities in this sector appear distinctly limited.

Comments:

This image began simply from the idea of a scene viewed from the interior of the cockpit of a space/aircraft. The cockpit is assembled from primitives - mostly cuboids - while the pilot's seat is based around a swept shape created in Extreme 3D. The pilot is, of course, a Poser 2 figure, and his helmet was built up out of Bryce primitives.

I'm not entirely happy with this one; there are some awkward gaps in the cockpit structure and the control panel isn't very convincing. The interior texture needs work as well, but it's hard to get good high-frequency textures with a regular (i.e. man-made) look.
