Last updated: 08.05.2002

This tutorial describes some tips for working with large scenes in Bryce (some of the tips may also be applicable to other modelling programs). The various sections explain how you can work more efficiently, reduce the sizes of intermediate and final scene files, and speed up render times.

Organization
Basic techniques for organizing the information in your scene.

Efficiency
How to be more efficient when constructing your scene.

Reducing file sizes
How to keep the size of your scene file down to save memory and disk space.

Speeding up renders
How to speed up rendering.

Some of the tips in this tutorial are based on suggestions made in a BryceTalk chat featuring, among others, AuntiAlias (Susan Kitchens), Ringo Monfort and Steven Lareau. Grateful thanks to all those involved for sharing their knowledge with the Bryce community.
