West End Nights

[3K/40K]

"... and white thighs in shop windows
Where blonde assistants fully fashioned a world
Made of dummies with no mummies
Or daddies to neglect them."

Comments:

The basic scene file was constructed for a different image, in which the fashion showroom was intended to provide a backdrop for an action scene. Some of the intermediate renders revealed that the showroom and the wet pavement worked rather well by themselves, and suggested typically miserable London nights after everything's closed and everyone's gone home, leaving the streets to those who are unlucky enough not to have anywhere else to go. I decided to reuse it, which is probably cheating, but what the heck.

The seated figure in this scene was made in Poser. She's actually the 'female business, detailed' figure, but careful posing and lighting made her look rather less businesslike and, moreover, of indeterminate sex. All you can really tell is that she isn't having a very good time.

The mannequins in the showroom window are also imported Poser figures, who finally have a good reason to be bald and shiny.
